Always a fan of a good story Julia studied illustration at Edinburgh College of Art. A passion for screen printing followed and she made little artists books about literary characters she loved.
A move to Brighton gave her the opportunity to study Sequential Illustration and continue with her making and printing.
A painting career then developed from showing a few tentative paintings in a pop up shop. Julia painted florals and landscapes and was published nationally and internationally.
Her love of nature and her surroundings still continues and is fuelled by a move back to her home of Yorkshire. Now she paints soft, dream like landscapes, whimsical birds and hand prints a range of products. All her products are proudly handmade here in Yorkshire!
